A little trip over the weekend to Moab and Arches

Fall or Winter Hike?

More snow over the weekend, wanted to take a fall hike and enjoy the colors. Decided on Butler Fork maybe up towards Mt. Raymond. Didn't get far at all before it was a winter hike! Took the right fork over to Dog Lake, trees were bare half way up but snow was beautiful.

Dog Lake had a little ice on the west side.
Saw a couple people up there with their dog

and few bow hunters. Pretty quiet.

Thought this was unique, aspen leaf on snow in a tree.

Fall Family Picnic

Fall family picnic had alittle snow the night

before so didn't go to Millcreek or the Unitas

went up Big Cottonwood Canyon.

Mt. Olympus

Great day for a hike, always wanted to do Mt Olympus. Started on a nice fall Friday morning, already had a dusting of snow, alittle early this year. Real windy the first half, but good trail with views.Crossed a dry streambed and switchback up the hill. A bit steep the second half, overall elevation gain of 4200 feet. Pretty colors through the forest and then opens up again to the saddle, some scrambling towards the top. Knees were screaming on the way down! Next year TwinPeaks!

Fall was in the air, our condo was great and we had a good time. Little towns of Eden, Liberty and Huntsville are neat. We visited the Monastary and bought some honey.

I took a bike ride up Wheeler

Canyon Saturday afternnoon and

we hiked a spur off of it Sunday

to Maple Campground, thought it

was a couple of miles turned out

it was six plus.

Cierra made it!
